Holiday Lights in CityCenter Danbury

Light the Lights

CityCenter Danbury helps to "kick off" the holiday season with its Annual Holiday Lighting Event on December 2, 2008 (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving).  Come join in on the fun and festivities at 5:30pm at the Danbury Library Plaza on the corner of Main and West Streets

Last year, the second graders from King Street Primary School started us out with various carols and a Brass Quartet from Danbury High School helped us usher in the holiday season. The Honorable Mayor Boughton was on hand to welcome Santa.

Those gathered are invited to join in the carol singing, a count down to the tree lighting, and the arrival of Santa Claus.  Santa makes his entrance by fire truck courtesy of the Beckerle Fire Department.  Guests are then invited to enter the library and meet with Santa and get a photo taken. Children enjoy cookies and candy canes.  There is also a craft activity in the library for the children.

Fun for All!
